Two parades on Sunday 8 November 2026, 10.30am to noon: Parsons Green to Fulham War Memorial, and Sulgrave Road to Shepherd's Bush Green. Closures inside.

Remembrance Sunday falls on Sunday 8 November 2026, and Hammersmith and Fulham Council holds two services with parades that morning: one at Fulham War Memorial by All Saints Church, the other at Shepherd’s Bush War Memorial on the Green. Both run from 10.30am to 12 noon, both are free and open to everyone, and the Last Post sounds at 11am. The council has published the 2026 dates and places; the order of service, the clergy and the exact closure times for 2026 are still to come, so the detail below is last year’s, which the council published on 3 November 2025.

The quick answer

Sunday 8 November 2026, 10.30am to 12 noon. The Fulham parade leaves Parsons Green along New Kings Road to the war memorial in Vicarage Gardens, Church Gate SW6. The Shepherd’s Bush parade forms up in Sulgrave Road and marches to the memorial on Shepherd’s Bush Green, W12. To go only to the service, be at either memorial before 11am.

What is confirmed for 2026

The council’s events calendar lists both services for 2026:

In the council’s words, everyone is invited to join dignitaries from the council and the community to pay their respects.

The Fulham parade

Based on the council’s 2025 arrangements:

  • The procession leaves Parsons Green at 10.35am and heads along New Kings Road to the open-air service at the war memorial in Vicarage Gardens, next to All Saints Church.
  • In 2025 the service was led by the Rev Peter Dobson of All Saints Church, Fulham, and attended by the Deputy Mayor.
  • The parade included Army reservists and cadets, ex-service groups, the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, St John Ambulance, youth organisations, faith leaders and the Fulham Brass Band.
  • Afterwards it forms up in Church Gate and crosses Fulham High Street to Fulham House, where the salute is taken before the parade is dismissed.

The Shepherd’s Bush parade

  • The procession starts in Sulgrave Road, off Shepherds Bush Road, at 10.25am, and marches to the open-air service at the war memorial on Shepherd’s Bush Green.
  • In 2025 the service was taken by Fr Richard Nesbitt of Our Lady of Fatima Church in White City and the Rev Cameron Collington of St Simon’s Church, and attended by the Mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham.
  • Piper Fergus Collington and Thames Fanfare Brass led the parade, which included Army reservists and cadets, the Burma Star Association, Hammersmith Scout groups, police and fire brigade cadets and St John Ambulance.
  • The Last Post sounds at 11am. The Mayor takes the salute outside The Grampians, on the east side of Shepherds Bush Road, before the parade is dismissed.

Road closures and parking

These are the 2025 restrictions. The council publishes each year’s in the week before, and 2026’s are expected to follow the same pattern.

Remembrance Sunday road closures and parking suspensions in 2025, from Hammersmith and Fulham Council
ParadeRoads closed until the parade is dismissedNo parking, 5pm Saturday to 12.30pm Sunday
FulhamNew Kings Road and its access roadsBoth sides of Church Gate; the eastern side of Fulham High Street between Station Approach and Ranelagh Gardens
Shepherd's BushSulgrave Road; Shepherds Bush Road northbound; Shepherd's Bush Green roundabout; Uxbridge Road; no vehicle access from Holland Park roundabout to Shepherd's Bush GreenEastern side of Shepherds Bush Road between Shepherd's Bush Green and Minford Gardens

If you drive on Sunday mornings, the Shepherd’s Bush closures are the ones that bite: the Green’s roundabout and the link from Holland Park roundabout both close, so traffic heading west out of Kensington is diverted. For other works that weekend, see our Fulham roadworks and travel page, and for where to park, parking in Fulham.

Taking part

You do not have to march. The council says residents can join just the services by going to Shepherd’s Bush Green or Vicarage Gardens at All Saints Church before 11am, and that people are welcome to lay poppy wreaths, wooden crosses and remembrance sticks at the foot of either memorial. The council’s Remembrance Sunday page links to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal for anyone who wants to donate.

The same week

The Fulham 10k closes roads around Eel Brook Common the following Sunday, 15 November; see our Fulham 10k page. Hammersmith’s Winter Festival is on Saturday 14 November: Hammersmith Winter Festival.

Still to be confirmed

The 2026 order of service, the clergy and dignitaries, and the confirmed closure times. The council published 2025’s on 3 November, so expect 2026’s in the first week of November. We will update this page then.
