Fulham Tube Times: 13 Mins to Victoria, £3.60 Peak

Search for Fulham train times to London and you get tube times, because Fulham has no commuter railway in the usual sense. There is no season ticket to buy and no terminus to arrive at: the borough sits inside Zone 2, and getting to work means the District line, the Central line at Shepherd’s Bush, or the four lines that meet at Hammersmith. So Fulham tube times are what this page gives you, station by station.

That settles most of the questions people ask about travel here, because every station in Hammersmith and Fulham is in Zone 2, so every journey into Zone 1 costs exactly the same. What changes from one street to the next is minutes, not money.

What it costs

Transport for London’s own fare finder gives the same three numbers from Fulham Broadway, Parsons Green, Putney Bridge, West Kensington, Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush into Zone 1.

The cash fare is nearly double the contactless one. Nobody should be paying it, and the only people who do are visitors who buy a paper ticket at the machine.

For anyone travelling most days, the caps matter more than the singles. TfL’s adult fares table sets the Zones 1 to 2 daily cap at £8.90, the 7 day Travelcard at £44.70, the monthly at £171.70 and the annual at £1,788. Peak and off-peak daily caps are the same in Zones 1 and 2, which is unusual and worth knowing: travelling before 09:30 costs you nothing extra once you have hit the cap.

There is a cheaper option that most people in the borough overlook. A Zone 2 only Travelcard is £33.50 a week or £1,340 a year, £448 less than the Zones 1 to 2 version. It is only worth it if your working day genuinely stays out of Zone 1, but for anyone commuting between, say, Shepherd’s Bush and Hammersmith, or Fulham Broadway and Earlsfield, it is real money.

How long it takes

The chart carries the one finding that should change how people here think about where they live. The District line is a West End line and the Central line is a City line, and the gap between them is enormous.

Shepherd’s Bush reaches Bank in 20 minutes on a single Central line train. Fulham Broadway takes 32, Hammersmith and Parsons Green 34, Putney Bridge 36. If you work in the City, living at the north end of the borough saves you an hour a week each way compared with the south. If you work in the West End, the difference between the two ends of the borough is a few minutes and barely worth thinking about.

Victoria in 13 minutes with no change is the number that sells Fulham, and it is real. The District line is also frequent: TfL’s own timetable shows 16 eastbound departures an hour from Fulham Broadway in the 07:00 hour and 12 an hour right through the middle of the day, which is a train every four to five minutes.

The journey that catches everyone out

Fulham Broadway to Shepherd’s Bush is a journey within one borough, about three and a half miles. It takes 17 minutes and costs £3.60 at peak, because the only rail route runs through Zone 1 and back out again, changing at Notting Hill Gate. A journey of the same length that stays in Zone 2, Fulham Broadway to Hammersmith, costs £2.30.

The borough has no north-south rail line. The District serves the south, the Central serves the north, and they never meet inside Hammersmith and Fulham. For crossing the borough the bus is the answer, and the 220 is the spine: Willesden Junction, White City, Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith, Putney Bridge and on into Wandsworth, the whole length of the borough on one route. The 295 does the other diagonal, Ladbroke Grove through Brook Green and Fulham Broadway to Clapham Junction.

A bus journey is £1.75, with unlimited further journeys inside an hour under the Hopper fare. For the rest of this summer there is more than that: TfL is running a Weekend Hopper until 31 August 2026, which gives unlimited bus and tram travel all day on Saturdays and Sundays for a single £1.75 fare, and it runs on the August bank holiday Monday too. Nothing to buy or register, just touch in with the same card each time.

The stations, and what runs from each

• Fulham Broadway (District). The busiest in Fulham, and the one to use for Stamford Bridge. Direct to Victoria, Westminster and Monument.
• Parsons Green (District). One stop further out on the same Wimbledon branch, so the same trains, two minutes later.
• Putney Bridge (District). The southern edge of the borough, next to Bishop’s Park. Putney’s National Rail station, for South Western Railway services into Waterloo, is a 15 minute walk from the park across the bridge.
• West Kensington (District). The fastest station in the borough into the West End, at 11 minutes to Victoria, and a short walk from Olympia.
• Barons Court (District and Piccadilly). The Piccadilly stops here but not at West Kensington one stop away, which makes Barons Court the borough’s fastest route to Heathrow.
• Hammersmith (District, Piccadilly, Circle and Hammersmith & City). Two separate stations either side of the Broadway sharing a name. King’s Cross in 24 minutes on the Hammersmith & City.
• Shepherd’s Bush (Central, plus Overground and National Rail next door). Oxford Circus in 12 minutes, Bank in 20. The fastest station in the borough for the City.
• White City (Central) and Wood Lane (Circle and Hammersmith & City). Two stations a few minutes apart on different lines, both serving Westfield London and the White City development.
• West Brompton (District, Mildmay and Southern) and Imperial Wharf (Mildmay and National Rail). The Mildmay line runs south to Clapham Junction and north to Willesden, the only useful orbital route out of the borough.

What to check before you travel

The District line splits four ways west of Earl’s Court, so a train on the platform at Fulham Broadway is not always going where you want. Check the front of the train, not just the platform indicator.

Weekend closures on the District and Piccadilly through Hammersmith are frequent, and the council posts travel alerts when a whole line shuts. TfL’s status page is the live source.
