Two ticketed Santa visits this year: Santa's Winter Garden at Fulham Palace, 20 Nov to 23 Dec, and London Christmas Village on Shepherd's Bush Green from £15.
There are two big ticketed places to meet Father Christmas in Hammersmith and Fulham this year, and both are new. Santa’s Winter Garden fills the walled garden at Fulham Palace with film-style fake snow from Friday 20 November to Wednesday 23 December 2026. London Christmas Village sets up a Dickensian village with a grotto on Shepherd’s Bush Green from Saturday 28 November to Wednesday 23 December. They are priced very differently, so the detail below is worth reading before you book. For a cheaper encounter, the Lyric’s Father Christmas show and the council’s free Christmas markets are at the end.
The quick answer
Santa’s Winter Garden, Fulham Palace: 20 November to 23 December, children £38 to £67, adults £20 to £38, plus a £5.50 booking fee per order. London Christmas Village, Shepherd’s Bush Green: 28 November to 23 December, 9am to 9pm; the pre-school grotto session is £35 a child and £15 an adult, the full visit £60. Both sell timed tickets only.
Santa’s Winter Garden at Fulham Palace
| Ticket type | Children | Grown-ups |
|---|---|---|
| Super Off-Peak | £38 | £20 |
| Off-Peak | £48 | £28 |
| Standard | £67 | £38 |
The organiser’s site describes a trail through Fulham Palace’s walled gardens, entered “through a magical wardrobe”, with snow effects from the teams behind Christmas films, ending in a private visit with Santa for photos and wishes. Which price you pay depends on the date and time you pick. A flat £5.50 booking fee applies to each order.
From the organiser’s FAQs:
- Allow 90 minutes to 2 hours from arrival to the end.
- Babies under 12 months go free but must be on the booking; they do not get a full Santa visit or a gift unless you buy them a child ticket.
- Each booking can take up to four children and ten adults. Children under 16 must come with an adult, and adults must come with a child.
- It is mostly outdoors and goes ahead in rain and cold, so dress for the weather. Buggies are welcome, though some paths are narrow or uneven, and there are toilets and baby changing on site.
- Blue Badge holders cannot park in the palace grounds but can park free along Bishops Avenue. An essential companion or carer gets a free ticket.
The event is run by Intuitive Festive Events in partnership with Fulham Palace Trust. The palace’s own listing says the Trust cannot help with ticketing or access questions, so send those to the organiser.
London Christmas Village, Shepherd’s Bush Green
The council lists London Christmas Village from 28 November to 23 December 2026, 9am to 9pm, on Shepherd’s Bush Green, W12 8AA. It is aimed at families with children aged 3 to 10 and, in the council’s listing, has “no rides, no flashing lights and no loud music”. Instead there is a lantern-lit lane, Dickensian characters, a grotto and a children’s Christmas market.
The village’s own site sells three kinds of ticket:
| Ticket | Entry slots | Price | Meets Father Christmas? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-School Journey (ages 2 to 5 recommended, about 90 minutes) | 9am to 10.45am | £35 a child, £15 an adult | Yes, in the grotto, with a gift |
| Full Journey (all ages, about 2.5 hours) | 10.45am to 5.45pm | £60 | Yes, in the grotto, plus two theatre shows and three gifts |
| Evening Journey | 5.50pm to 8pm | £15 | Only a group story on the bandstand |
The evening ticket is the cheap way in: it gets you into the village square with its chalets, carollers and food stalls, but not the grotto. Food and drink are extra with every ticket. Shepherd’s Bush station (Central line) and Shepherd’s Bush Market (Hammersmith and City and Circle lines) are both on the edge of the Green.
Cheaper ways to see Father Christmas
- The Lyric Hammersmith’s Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas runs in the Studio from 18 November to 27 December 2026. It is a 50-minute show for under-6s, tickets £15 to £22 plus a £2 levy per basket. Seating is unreserved and buggies cannot go into the Studio. There are relaxed performances on 24 November at 10.30am and 29 November at 9.30am. More in our Christmas shows page.
- Hammersmith Winter Festival, Saturday 14 November, and the North End Road Christmas Market, Saturday 12 December, are free council markets. Father Christmas appeared at both in 2025; the 2026 line-ups are not out yet. See Hammersmith Winter Festival and North End Road Christmas Market.
For adults: Fulham Palace’s Christmas fair at twilight
Not a Santa visit, but on the same site: Fulham Palace holds an adults-only Christmas fair at twilight on Friday 4 December, 5.30pm to 8.30pm, £10 with a glass of prosecco, and more than 60 independent makers.
